The Sony HT-S40R brings powerful 600w surround sound with Dolby Digital® in a 5.1ch format that delivers a fantastic audio experience in your living room. An impressive combination of soundbar, subwoofer and wireless rear speakers enables dynamic, room filling sound that puts you at the heart of the action. A wireless amplifier powers the rear speakers so there are no wires between the front and rear of the room to get in your way. The subwoofer and soundbar are also are powered through a single connection so you can enjoy superb cinema sound without additional clutter or complexity.

The HT-S40R additionally comes with a range of versatile connectivity options. For even fewer wires in your living room, you can send audio to your home theatre system wirelessly with a Bluetooth® Wireless Connection supporting Sony BRAVIA TV. Also it's not just movies that sound amazing, the HT-S40R is made for music too. You can use Bluetooth® to wirelessly stream music from your smartphone or use the USB port to play audio from a USB memory stick.

The HT-S40R has been made with design at its core. With a slim, compact, wall mountable soundbar, unobtrusive subwoofer and wireless rear speakers, the HT-S40R is made to fit perfectly with BRAVIA TVs and complement your living room. The compact rear speakers can also easily be wall mounted to fit neatly in your room and you can place the wireless amplifier wherever you like - flat on a table shelf or mounted on the wall.

The HT-S40R comes with 4 sound modes; cinema, music, standard and auto sound so that you can choose the one that's right for whatever you're watching or listening to. You can also select Night and Voice modes when you need them and the subwoofer's volume control to fine-tune your viewing experience.
